Digitalni propeler

Program coordinator: Petar Mitrić
ONLINE EVENT
9th & 10th November | 9:30h

The Free Zone Film Festival and MEDIA Desk Serbia, with the support of the Film Center of Serbia, are organizing a new industry program Digital Propeller. The program was designed as a two-day workshop with the aim of networking, empowering, and educating independent Serbian arthouse film screeners. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about various digital promotional strategies for building and attracting audience to cinemas, as well as new business models imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The workshop will take place on 9-10 November in the Multimedia Hall of the Yugoslav Film Archive.

The lecturer during the first day of the workshop will be Philip Mordecai. Working for the famous British screenwriter Curzon for over the past seven years, he has successfully developed and promoted a unique VOD platform Curzon Home Cinema, thanks to which British audience can now watch movies in cinema and online.

On the second day of the workshop, participants will meet Nguyet Nguyen — an expert in digital film promotion from the Danish company Gruvi. Thanks to long-term experience in working on the digital promotion of films, Gruvi has developed its digital tools that can be used to ‘predict’ the success of a certain film in the audience of the region where the film is distributed
