The Free Zone’s project Green Cinema presents screenings of documentaries and feature films that focus on ecology and environmental protection. The film program will be presented to the public within the open air cinema in the squares and parks of selected project cities.
The aim of the project is to contribute to raising the level of environmental awareness of citizens and to encourage critical thinking about how they treat the environment in which they live. Also, the project wants to contribute to the decentralization of culture through the popularization of filmmaking and aims to enrich the cultural life of selected project cities.
The cities that will be visited by the Green Cinema during July and August 2022 are:
July 22 – 23 – Sremski Karlovci
July 28 – 29 – Novi Sad Strand
August 5 – 6 – Irig
12 -13. August – Kać
August 19 – 20 – Futog
Screening will start at 9 pm.
Screenings will be free for the audience, who will have the opportunity to enjoy the latest achievements in the field of feature and documentary films and find out about current environmental issues.
The goal of the Green Cinema is to turn the squares of project cities into vibrant places, celebrating the year in which Novi Sad and Zone 21 represent the epicenter of European cultural life.
