HAPPYEND
Neo Sora was born in 1991 to manager Norika Sora and film composer Ryuichi Sakamoto in New York, and was raised in both New York and Tokyo. Sora graduated from a Connecticut University in Philosophy and Film Studies.
After several short films, in 2023, he directed the documentary Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus, revolving around the last concert performed by his father. In 2024, he wrote and directed his feature debut, Happyend, for which he was given the Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award.
