SYNOPSIS

Maria juggles four children and a demanding career, while her second husband, Sigmund, spends most of his time travelling as a musician. One day, a heated argument erupts, after which Sigmund asks her for a divorce. This forces her into a painful journey of self-reflection and empowerment as she confronts her fears and finds strength within herself.

DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY

Lilja Ingolfsdottir trained at the London International Film School and the Prague Film School, FAMU. Her oeuvre, spanning two decades, includes several award-winning short films such as What I Wish You Had Said to Me; That You Will Never Say, As a Flamingo, Neglect, Hong Kong, Show Me Your Original Face Before Your Mother and Father Were Born, and What We Fear. Ingolfsdottir’s films have premiered at prestigious international short film festivals, including Edinburgh, Grimstad, and Haugesund. Her recognition in the industry has been marked by numerous awards and grants, reflecting her significant influence on Norwegian cinema. Loveable is her feature film debut.
Ingolfsdottir teaches screenwriting and directing at the Norwegian Film School.
