This story is based on a true event, which makes the significance of this film even greater when considering its subject matter! Andrea Spezzacatena had just turned 15 when he suddenly took his own life. It was the first case of peer bullying in Italy that led to suicide, leaving the entire nation stunned and in shock. The entire incident began with his decision to wear red trousers, a gift from his mother, which turned pink after washing.
Film and TV director and screenwriter, Margherita Ferri, studied at UCLA and the National School of Cinema, Rome. Her first feature film, Zen in the Ice Rift, premiered in Venice in 2018, then screened at many international film festivals. Then, she directed two episodes of the Netflix Original Series ZERO (2021) and two episodes of the Amazon Prime Video original series Bang Bang Baby (2022). As a screenwriter, she wrote the thriller-horror feature film The Nest, directed by Roberto De Feo, that premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2019.
